Since its establishment in 2014, the Volunteer Corps of the Municipality of Elliniko–Argyroupoli has grown into one of the most active and well-organized volunteer initiatives in the local community. United by a shared commitment to selfless service, its volunteers stand on the front line every day, demonstrating that volunteering has the power to make a real difference in people's lives and improve the quality of life across the municipality.
Through initiatives focused on social solidarity, civil protection, environmental awareness, and community support, the Volunteer Corps has become a source of pride for the Municipality. Volunteers actively contribute to municipal events, sports and cultural activities, environmental projects, and social welfare initiatives, generously offering their time, knowledge, and dedication without expecting anything in return.
Volunteering is a powerful expression of hope, solidarity, and social cohesion. It reflects the desire to participate actively in society, contribute to the common good, and be part of a community that cares, supports, and stands together.
Recognizing the value of volunteerism, the Municipality of Elliniko–Argyroupoli, under the initiative of Mayor Giannis Konstantatos, established the Volunteer Corps Office to coordinate and strengthen volunteer initiatives across a wide range of sectors.
Under the leadership of Dimitra Andritsopoulou, Deputy Councillor for Volunteerism and Head of the Volunteer Corps, the organization continues to grow, provide ongoing training, and deliver meaningful services to the community, serving as a model of volunteer engagement and civic participation for the Municipality of Elliniko–Argyroupoli.
